Five Signs of a Dysfunctional Relationship with Writing
1. You've been talking for a year about publishing a newsletter, blog or book, but you haven't done it yet.
2. You have recurring nightmares about being chased by a big red pen.
3. You have great services to offer but no one knows about them because you cramp up every time you try to get the word out.
4. You'd rather wash dishes, do the laundry or organize your spoon collection than write something for your business.
5. You feel embarrassed to give anyone the address of your website.
Take heart, my friend, it doesn't have to be this way!
The truth is:
Your passion and commitment make you an expert in the area you've chosen to focus on as a coach.
Writing is the best way to build credibility, relationships, trust and sales. You can use it to attract clients, referral sources, joint venture partners and the media. Written information products can also create multiple streams of income for you.
You know a lot more about your coaching niche than you may think. All you need is some structure, some writing prompts, and somewhere to catch your ideas as they fall.
No one is perfect in their writing; from time to time, I have even made one or two writing mistakes myself (and the ground hasn't swallowed me up yet!).
There is no reason to keep struggling along with your writing, when there are those of us out here who absolutely love to do it! Your time and your gifts are precious, and you need to be focused on what you were put on this earth to do.
